In my garden

A wonderful part of our garden, 

Breakfast 
we start with a breakfast in the morning sitting in the semi shade, 
with the sun sipping through the branches of the willow 

  

Sunbathing 

Later we turn the chairs to face the sun for sunbathing 

and have a refreshing lime water.

      

     

Champagne together in the afternoon
In the afternoon we put the chairs together to sit side by side for a champagne

Bracelets

       

            

  

    

I made these bracelets for Sunna's cousins in Iceland, she is there now for more then two weeks to work with horses and spending some time with the family:) 

The bracelets are made with lava pearls from Iceland and pearls from China.

We tried to make them personal for each and one of them, even thought they are all the same, 

by choosing theirs favorite colors, or at close as possible :)

I hope they like them.

Workshop with granddad

Once upon a time

there was a tree that was to big for its one good, 

so it was cut down and became fine wood

The big juniper tree was standing in the middle of the garden at grandmas Nelly summerhouse.

When it was down granddad Leo cut the tree into these fine wooden slices and took it back to the summerhouse, with some tools for sawing, carving and rubbing.

Its was to become butter knifes

Here is Esja sawing her very first knife 

  

Now its Emblas turn

Then everybody carved their knifes 

Very proud sisters with their final product 

and they should by proud 

because these are a fantastic butter knifes 

only to be used by maker :)

New potholders

    

    

New potholders in process......

I was knitting a Icelandic sweater for Sunna, when she decided that

 she wants to change the color in the pattern, so I had to put the sweater on hold until she brings the new color from Iceland, she and her grandmother will find the color together.

And there I was with nothing in my hands, so it was just quickly to find something

 to do. We where going for a long road trip and I like having something to do on the way,

so I found this very pink yarn that was leftover from another sweater and what a happy little things this will be

....for taking care of our cat:)

We went for a small trip to south Sweden and Denmark 
and one of our neighbors took care of our cat while we where away.
So we went over to them with a little thank you gift.

Now the rain is poring down, just poring and we are all inside taking it easy.
We are waiting for the rain to stop, we had plans to go on the motorbike for a visit in the country side.... 

But while waiting and hoping for dry wether I will do something fun, like sawing, 
these things that you want to do but don't  do when the sun is shining and you want to be outside,
so its just to roll up my sleeves and get started,
but first some lunch :)

The wish tree

 

At the wonderful museum Louisiana outside Copenhagen 

there is an exhibition by Yogo Ono, 

it was very interesting to see. 

One thing in the exhibition is that the visitors can wright a wish and hang it on a tree in the garden. All the wishes are then send to Reykjavik for them all to come true.

Here Leo is writing and hanging his wish, I hope he will get what he wanted

I hope that everybody's wishes comes true 

The tree is beautiful with all the white tags, don't you think? 

There is also a exhibition by Tara Donavan, I thought that her pieces very totally fantastic, check her out, just amazing stuff, never seen anything like it. You need to google her because we where not allowed to take pictures !!!!
