My dress

When I posted this picture on my birthday I didn't  know or didn't remember 

that my mother knitted this sweet dress, 

so cute <3

She is a great knitter, has always been.

I have to do a post with some of her works to show you:)

Would have been nice to have the dress now<3

Glass beads

I got these beads of glass for Christmas from my family in New York 

and yesterday I begun to work with them

I am going to make a neckless and a bracelets

some with silver chains

and some with something else that I don´t know now:)

Aren´t they sweet?

When I woke up this morning....

At seven fifteen this morning my wonderful daughter and husband woke my up 

with fireworks and song

cake and presents

Here I am about nine, maybe!

With my mother and brother june 17 ´64 or ´65

I know it juni 17 because it is Iceland´s national day and we are all dressed up 

for the celebration 

The woman on the right is my beloved grandmother 

and the other is the pastors wife 

We are working in the christmas bazar that the church hade every year 

selling the handcraft that the women´s in the church congregation hade made all year

I was so proud that I was trusted to work with them

I still remember this day, it was a day of joy and responsibility:)

Sunnas sweater

and some beautiful yearn that is waiting to be something,

a bag? a scarf ? a potholder ?

I need to speed up a bit with the sweater, Sunna is exiting to get to wear it 

One the left my new I pad bag, I love it, I also got that from my wonderful aunt 

she spoil's my, she always have<3<3<3<3 

For this sweeter I use two different thickness of yearn

but both is Icelandic wool, Lopi

Álafoss Lopi for the rib and Léttlopi for the sweater

I just love working with Lopi

Small gifts

        

Leo and I sometimes do little projects together like this one

I  crocheted this potholders and he carved these salad servers

The ones with the purple potholders are made from our apple tree that we cut down last summer. We gave this set to my brother and his wife

The other salad servers are made from a juniper tree from our children's summer place 

that was cut down this summer 

We gave that set to his sister and her husband

Welcome to my sofa office

I had a minor operation on my left food and I need to take it easy for a few weeks

So I have made this sofa corner my office

and I am working on a sweater for my daughter 

just starting with the pattern in blue

              

            important things at reach 

            

            and of course my computer to check out all the wonderful blogs out there

            and my new fancy shoe 

             

           oh and please allow me to introduce you to my very busy assistant

             

                      Tea is served with some sweets 

                     on my new old tea set I got for Christmas from my aunt

Diadems

I had a great time knitting these diadems for small relatives all around the world

in this beautiful linen yarn and using all kind of difference buttons  

       

And bow ties for the little gents 

Unfortunately I don´t have any pictures of the beautiful children wearing their new stuff,

nearly all of them are living in other countries

two in New York

two in Norway 

five in Iceland 

and two here in Stockholm    

but they all are where very happy with their new diadems and their bow ties 

and they all look so nice with them
