Slippers for the guests

I knitted some wool slippers for our guest 

in winter time the floor in our house can be a little cold, then a warm slipper is cosy.

I then sewed a little basket to have them in and placed them by the door.

The fabric is perfect for the slippers with little sweet sheep. 

They are so easy to make and you don't need much material, so you can use yarn that was over from a another project.

My friend Þorunn gave me the instructions for the slippers and taught me how to do the basket

We try to meet once or two times a month and do projects together, have dinner, drink tea and eat some sweets :)

Birthday party with an Indian theme

The other day me daughter turned seventeen 

and we had a party for her girlfriends

she wanted to serve a indian soup she likes very much so we decided for an Indian theme 

so I change the living room for the night,

I took away some of the furniture, took away pantings or rearranged them, changed the curtains and decorated with more colorful interior details

I did the decorations and my daughter made the soup and nan bread 

with hummus and other goodies,

my big little girl:)

The candles are lit

on every bowl is a little gift for the guests

few sticks of incents wrapped in a cellophane and silk paper 

The girls came dressed indian style and att arrival the got a dekoration to put between the eyes 

they where so beautiful all these young girls:)

and they hade a great time

I made these yesterday as a birthday present 

I just think I will make some for everybody :)

You can use them for many different things

here I put them together with some wood decorations,

the eggs and the ball comes from Chile 

my daughter hand carved the little bowl and the heart bowl in the background

and the round small box is a task for the students at the Malmstens school, 

it has seeds and little pads and the idea is to saw the seeds in the pads

so you can cultivate different spices in the pads ;)

such a great idea

Know I will go out to the garden and do some gardening

 in the great weather we have today

Cute coasters

Last night I crocheted these cute little coasters 

it is so much fun to make and it just takes a few moments 

I made four in less then a hour and a half

I saw them on Instagram, aspoonfulsugar, 

found the pattern on internet and voila 

And now a friend is a happy owner of these four

and I will make more and more:)
